"ECCLESSIA REFORMATA, SEMPER REFORMANDA"
"ECCLESSIA REFORMATA, SEMPER REFORMANDA"
The Reformed Baptist Heritage Conferences was first known as the Northern Annual Reformed Conference (NAREC). The NAREC was established in 2019 to foster fellowship and strengthen Reformed Baptist convictions among churches in Northern Zambia. However, its impact extended beyond the region, prompting calls for a more inclusive name.
After careful consideration, the Conference was renamed the "Reformed Baptist Heritage Conference." This new name better reflects its national scope and emphasizes the core beliefs of its participants. The name change also aligns with the inaugural conference theme, "Here We Stand - Restating and Re-affirming our Reformed Baptist Heritage."
This change signifies a commitment to ongoing reformation and the importance of living out the principles of Reformed Baptist theology.
We have several Reformed Baptist Heritage Conferences in the course of each year:
Biblical Authority: We emphasize the importance of biblical truth and the need for all decisions and actions to be grounded in Scripture.
Reformed Baptist Theology: We emphasize a commitment to Reformed Baptist theology and practice, particularly of the "Historical Calvinism" mode based on the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith.
This includes doctrines such as the sovereignty of God, total depravity of man, unconditional election of sinners, limited atonement, irresistible grace and perseverance of the saints, and the five (5) Solas.
Importance of Fellowship: The conferences aim to foster fellowship among like-minded churches and believers.
Reformation Principles: The slogan "Semper Reformanda" (Always Reforming) is our slogan. It indicates a commitment to ongoing reformation and a willingness to adapt and grow in our understanding and application of biblical truth.
